When you want to do some kitchen decorating but you're on a budget, you are looking for economical ways to do the job. While it may be nice to have the latest and greatest appliance or be able to afford a complete kitchen renovation, in most households that's just not possible. So the next best thing is to look at ways you can jazz up your kitchen to create a new look without it breaking the budget. Kitchen decorating need not be an expensive exercise.
The cheapest place to start is looking at what you've already got and seeing if you can't give it a new life with a coat of paint or some new material. You can give a new look and feel to your kitchen by painting or varnishing your existing kitchen cabinets in a new color or shade. It may take a little elbow grease to sand back the cabinets, but if you're willing to put in the work and look out for the sales at paint stores, you could create that new look at a reasonable cost.
You can do the same with your kitchen table if you have one in your kitchen. Sand it back and give it a new coat of paint or varnish. To add to the look you can replace the seat covers if they are easily detachable. Again, keep your eye out for specials at fabric stores and go find some cheap pieces of fabric that you use to recover your chairs with. Picking up a color from the cabinets or kitchen table and getting that in a nice bright print can add a fresh look to your kitchen

Make sure to get some more of that same material to make a matching valance for your kitchen windows. Or you can let your imagination run wild and create your own unique style of valance using material or scarves you may already own. You could even use a table cloth you already own or buy a cheap fabric or lace one that you can use draped across the top of the curtain rod.
